Check In Michigan, also known as Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association, has a rich history of advocating for the industry and people of hospitality and tourism in Michigan. Representing hundreds of hotels, motels, resort, and bed & breakfasts, along with CVB’s, colleges/universities, students, attractions and transportation operators, among others, we fight for Michigan’s hospitality and tourism industry in Lansing and Washington, D.C.

From informing lawmakers about the unintended consequences of changes to Michigan’s Minimum Wage, Overtime Provisions, and Tax Law, to best preparing our members for the certain change to the landscape of these issues, Check In Michigan is poised at the center of the conversation. The most pressing issues at present are:

We challenge ourselves to be the conveners of the conversation, not just a voice at the table. We strive to inform, but also to listen, learn, form consensus and where needed, compromise. We are active in our relationships with legislators and purposeful in crafting conversations to effect change.
